Folk/Pop

The City of Kamloops and BCLC are proud to present another great season of Music in the Park from July 1– August 31, 2026. This signature summer classic has been a part of Kamloops’ cultural and entertainment scene since 1994. The summer concert season brings a variety of blues, rock, classics, country, tribute bands, and more that will appeal to the whole family.

Free performances take place at the Riverside Park Rotary Bandshell each evening, 7:00–8:30 pm, weather and air quality permitting. Cancellation of a show is at the discretion of the evening performer.

Food Trucks will be in Heritage House parking lot (100 Lorne Street) every evening starting at 6:00 pm. The performance schedule and food truck availability are subject to change without notice.

Parking is free at Riverside Park during July and August (except when there are special events at Sandman Centre).

About Music in the Park

Every year since 1994, the City of Kamloops and BC Lottery Corporation have presented music in the park at the bandshell in Riverside Park.

During the summer months of July and August, each night you can enjoy a free concert from a plethora of music styles, including blues, rock, classics, country, tribute bands, and more.

Each night you can enjoy a family friendly performance from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm (weather permitting) on the grass in front of the Riverside Rotary Bandshell.

Bring your blanket, folding chairs, and maybe even a picnic dinner and enjoy one of the best events that Kamloops has to offer.

Riverside Park

Riverside Park

Riverside Park is a major waterfront park at 100 Lorne Street in downtown Kamloops, beside the Sandman Centre and at the confluence of the North and South Thompson rivers. The park combines open lawns, river views, a sandy beach, picnic areas, gardens, and access to the Rivers Trail multi-use pathway.

Visitors can enjoy the designated swimming area at the beach, an inclusive playground, an accessible seasonal water park, tennis and pickleball courts, lawn bowling, and the Rotary Bandshell. The park also includes a community garden, Uji Friendship Garden, rose gardens, public washrooms, water fountains, and a seasonal outdoor skating and multi-use loop for skating, roller sports, cycling, and walking.

Swimming is permitted only within the roped beach area and is at the user's own risk because of river currents and drop-offs. Dogs are generally not permitted in the park, except on the southern portion of the Rivers Trail where they must remain leashed.
