Live in HD is coming to the Paramount – The Kamloops Film Society

Well Done Kamloops!

The $10,000 required to bring the 2024-2025 season of New York Metropolitan Opera’s series of livestreamed opera performances to the Paramount Theatre in Kamloops was exceeded! The incredible response in only two weeks, underlines the interest in Opera and support of the Paramount Theatre.

On September 14, 2024, we are planning to show Madame Butterfly exclusively to thank the devoted and generous donors. The opera is from the 2023 season and will allow us to test the equipment and launch the season in gala style! 

“We are all so excited to add this to the repertoire of our Kamloops Film Society offerings at the Paramount Theatre”, says Colette Abbott, Executive Director of the Kamloops Film Society.

The 2024-2025 Season starts with Tales of Hoffman on October 5, 2024. The eight livestreamed operas begin at 9:30am Pacific Time (1pm Eastern Time in New York).  Season’s tickets and individual opera tickets will go on sale on July 24, 2024 on www.thekfs.ca.
