BIG Little Science Centre

The BIG Little Science Centre is an interactive science centre in downtown Kamloops at 458 Seymour Street. Visitors can explore more than 100 hands-on stations covering topics such as physics, chemistry, light, colour, air pressure, magnetism and natural science. The centre also presents demonstrations, interactive shows and laboratory-style activities designed to make scientific ideas accessible through experimentation and discovery.

Founded in February 2000 by retired science teacher Gordon R. Gore, the centre grew from a small classroom project into a community science-education facility. The BIG Little Science Centre Society was established in 2002 and became a registered charity the following year. Alongside public visits, the centre supports school bookings, group programs, camps, clubs and outreach activities, with staff and volunteers helping children, families, educators and other visitors engage with science in a practical, curiosity-driven setting.
