Juniper Ridge

Juniper Ridge is a residential neighbourhood in Kamloops’ southeast sector, situated on the hillside south of the South Thompson River. It lies above and east of Valleyview, with Rose Hill and Barnhartvale nearby. The neighbourhood is reached from Highland Road and is characterized by winding streets, open hillside areas, and views across the Thompson Valley.
The community has developed primarily as a low-density residential area, with Juniper Corner at the intersection of Qu’Appelle Boulevard and Highland Road providing a small local commercial node. Juniper Ridge Elementary School serves students from kindergarten through Grade 7 and is an important community institution. The neighbourhood is also supported by the Juniper Ridge Community Association.
Juniper Park, on Qu’Appelle Boulevard, provides a multi-purpose court and other basic park amenities for local use. The larger Kamloops Bike Ranch is located between Juniper Ridge and Valleyview and includes mountain-bike trails, a jump park, skills areas, lighting, and all-wheels pump tracks. Together, these facilities give Juniper Ridge a strong connection to outdoor recreation while retaining its primarily residential character.
