Minister Gregor Robertson highlights new housing complex – July 9, 2026

Federal Housing Minister Gregor Robertson holds a press conference in Etobicoke, Ont., to highlight the opening of a public housing complex. The project was funded collaboratively by the federal and municipal governments.

Also speaking are John Zerucelli (secretary of state for labour), Amber Morley (Toronto’s deputy mayor for Etobicoke), Sean Baird (president and CEO of Toronto Community Housing), and Vincent Crisanti (Toronto’s city councillor for Etobicoke North).

Minister Robertson takes questions from a journalist on the federal and B.C. governments’ plan to purchase vacant condos in the province and convert them into affordable housing.
