Beattie Elementary

Beattie Elementary is a public Kindergarten-to-Grade 7 school operated by School District No. 73 (Kamloops-Thompson) at 492 McGill Road in Lower Sahali. The school provides elementary education for local families and supports early learning and childcare opportunities at the site. It also serves as a neighbourhood community facility, including spaces used for family and recreational programming.

The McGill Road campus has an important place in Kamloops’ educational history. From 2004 until 2016, it formed the elementary campus of Beattie School of the Arts, a district-wide arts-focused program that also operated a secondary campus on 9th Avenue. In September 2016, the arts program consolidated at the former John Peterson building, now Kamloops School of the Arts, while the McGill Road site continued as Beattie Elementary.
