The Secwépemc Museum & Heritage Park, located at 330 Chief Alex Thomas Way in Kamloops, preserves and shares the history, culture, language and living traditions of the Secwépemc people. The museum’s galleries present oral histories, stories, photographs, artwork, traditional belongings and interactive displays that explore Secwépemc life before and after European contact.

The indoor museum includes three galleries and an educational theatre space, with exhibits covering subjects such as clothing, hunting, fishing, tools, housing, traditional practices and contemporary cultural knowledge. Its collections include baskets, drums, harvesting and hunting equipment, cultural clothing, archaeological materials and items connected to the Kamloops Indian Residential School. The museum also maintains archives and an archaeological repository that support research, education and the preservation of Secwépemc heritage.

The experience continues outdoors in the riverside Heritage Park, which includes a nature park and tribute garden. The grounds connect visitors with the landscape and archaeological history of Secwépemcúl’ecw through interpretive features and reconstructed traditional structures. Together, the museum and park provide an educational setting for learning about the enduring relationship between the Secwépemc people, their territory and their cultural knowledge.
