Westsyde Centennial Park

Westsyde Centennial Park is a large community park at 705 Franklin Road in Kamloops’s Westsyde neighbourhood. Set beside the North Thompson River and its flood-protection dike, the park provides a broad range of recreation facilities, including three soccer fields, a full-size slo-pitch diamond, a lacrosse court, basketball and tennis courts, a multi-purpose arena, pump track, playground, seasonal water park, and a nine-hole disc golf course.

The park also includes picnic tables, washrooms, water fountains, a multi-use pathway, and the Westsyde Centennial Dog Park. Dogs are not permitted throughout the main park but may be off leash within the designated dog park northeast of the dike, where owners are responsible for maintaining control and cleaning up after their pets. The riverfront area has safety hazards, including strong currents, unstable banks, drop-offs, high water, and debris, and swimming is not permitted.
